Bengaluru, 10th July, 2025: Marketing and customer experience aren’t just functions—they are human, values-driven pursuits shaped by integrity, resilience, and a deep understanding of people. In this conversation, we explore the personal beliefs, pivotal moments, and hard-earned wisdom of a seasoned CX and marketing leader. From navigating difficult truths with honesty to learning the art of balancing short- and long-term wins, their journey is a testament to owning choices, staying customer-obsessed, and embracing both failure and creativity as fuel for growth.

Join Mr. Glenson William John, Head- Category & Digital Marketing at Narayana Health in an interesting conversation with Mr. Marquis Fernandes, who lead the India Business at Quantic Business Media as they explore the experience, values, key turning point and mind-set that has played a pivotal role in William’s achievement.

What’s one belief or value that has guided you in every major decision?

One value that’s guided me in every major decision is “Integrity”. I believe that doing the right thing especially when it’s difficult to build long-term trust and respect.  For example, in one of my previous roles, I discovered an error in a report that had already been shared with a client. It would have been easy to let it slide, but I chose to speak up, correct the data, and explain it honestly. It was uncomfortable in the short term, but it strengthened the client’s relationship in the long run. That experience reinforced my belief that integrity isn’t just about ethics, it’s about owning your choices and being reliable no matter what.

Was there a turning point in your career that defined everything that followed?

Yes, there is a thin layer on understanding short term and long-term wins. Both are successes, but learning Balanced Short and Long-Term wins changed my vision and approach

What advice would you give to your 25-year-old self-starting out in marketing or CX?

Your world should revolve around the customer. Always Be Customer-Centric. Embrace Tech & Tools, But Don’t Let Them Replace Creativity.

If you could describe your life philosophy in one sentence, what would it be?

Own your thoughts & choices, face every challenge head-on, and Don’t Be Afraid to Fail, Learn from It.
